Webnode Takes worldchangebrief Offline For a Day
From Webnode:
"We would like to send you our apologies.
This was only a temporary
access issue and your website project is enabled again and is working as
it was previously.
The reason this happened is because of our automated security system; in
order to prevent websites with suspicious content; accidentally blocked
your website. This only happens in rare cases where the system
mistakenly blocks some websites.
Thank you for your understanding."
UPDATE: After mailing questions into Webnode, which is based in Switzerland and Czechoslovakia, I can report that their customer service is responsive, polite, and that this was simply a function of a computer program that scans hundreds of thousands of websites that they host for "malicious and fraudulent undertakings". It was not an attempt at censorship. For anyone out there who wants to put up their own website, Webnode appears to support civil and non-abusive free speech, and is thus a recommended provider.
Thank you Webnode.
